Banner Browsing:
Passport Echo's Banner provides is a great way to see what's happening on the current show or shows on other channels. The banner provides information such as

The current time, title and length of a show
channel logos, call letters and number
Time shift buffer thermometer indicating how much of a live show has been recorded onto the DVR, and the current position in a show
Play, FF, REW, Pause indicators

Quick Info:
The QuickInfo feature shows more detailed information than the standard banner enabling you to view all of the information for a show while channel browsing. The video screen is scaled 3/4 size so that channel browsing can take place without obstructing the video with graphics.

The Guide:
The program guide allows you to find any show by time with five lines of guide information and a 1 1/2 hour viewing window, by theme with multiple categories, or through an intelligent title or keyword search feature.

Title/Keyword Search:
The intelligent keyword or title search feature allows you to type in titles or words through a virtual keyboard with your remote to quickly find a particular show or to setup a series recording based on a favorite topic such as 'cooking'. It's a great way record all of the shows that match your lifestyle or particular interests.

Saved Shows Manager:
The Saved Shows Manager provides access to all shows that have been saved to the hard drive (including current programs being recorded). You can play back and quickly manage how long to keep a saved show. It can also automatically manage your shows for you.

Scheduled Recordings Manager:
In the Scheduled Recordings Manager, you can modify recording options for a scheduled show such as start and end times, saving options, or series recording opitons.

Series Manager:
The Series Manager enables you to finely tune recording options for a series, such as how many episodes to keep, whether it will record first-run episodes or repeats, and recording priority of one series over another.

QuickMenu™:
The QuickMenu is a headend configurable feature that allows a viewer to launch cable TV services quickly with just a few remote clicks. The menu can be configured to launch such services as VOD, Pay-Per-View, messages, and even third-party game applications. The QuickMenu can also be configured with a company logo, and service logos and descriptions. Utilizing the default page as a promotion tool, customers will be able to find and use your value-added services in a snap!

The Guide in 'Theme' view:
Use the 'B' button on the remote or 'Theme' to conveniently find shows by category. Seven days of programs are grouped into seven main themes and over 50 different sub-themes, such as Pay-Per-View, Football, New Release, Talk Show, Comedies, and Weather.

For example: To see what current Westerns are playing, highlight Movies:Western or to see what football games are on, highlight Sports:Football. To find currently playing programs quickly, look for titles that are preceded by a dot.
